It seems every listing presentation is a multiple-offer situation these days. By that, I mean of course that Sellers are interviewing more than one agent for the job of selling their home. I win more than my fair share of these as I have spent alot of time crafting my listing presentation and I know the market stats. But here’s the thing: I never take it for granted. I’m always polishing, always studying the stats and trends, always looking for ways to improve what I have to offer. The tendency among us might be to wish that these situations were not so competitive. But the fact is, knowing that I’m going up against someone else raises the level of my game. And isn’t that how the customer is best served? Let us all embrace the competition, show up with our very best level of service, and may the best person for the job, win. If I’m on the losing end, I’ll gladly use it as an opportunity to learn more about myself. I hope everyone else does too.
