Ask Rebecca why she got into real estate and she’ll tell you that she never wanted to be in sales…”I always thought you had to be obnoxious to be successful and I prefer to guide rather than push.” Indeed, far from being pushy, Rebecca uses a consultative, educational approach to lay out every option that a client has and therefore help them to discover their best decisions for themselves. She says “…There are a zillion pieces besides 4 beds/2 baths/2 acres. My job is to constantly ask questions and listen with zeal in order to put all the pieces together.
As a former paralegal at one of Philadelphia’s major law firms, Rebecca learned the art of negotiation. “I had many bosses, all of them powerful individuals who wouldn’t take no for an answer. The demand on my time and skills taught me to create win-win situations. These folks are the best negotiators you’d ever want to meet, so I copied their skills, did a lot of reading on the subject, and have taken many classes to earn the Master Certified Negotiation Expert designation. When I started in real estate in 2004, I didn’t realize it, but my paralegal experience was the perfect training ground for my real estate career.”
With over 20 years of experience as a realtor, investor, and landlord, no wonder Rebecca enjoys such success in the real estate arena. She has been nominated for Philadelphia Magazine’s Five Star Realtor Award every year since its inception. She’s been seen in Main Line Today, Forbes, and ABC-TV. She co-hosted a weekly real estate talk radio show. She has been in the top 20% nationwide since 2006 and consistently ranks in the top 7% across the Delaware Valley. “If you list with me, you’re about 40% more likely to sell, you’ll sell in half the time, and you’ll keep 7% more. It’s not magic, it’s commitment and professionalism.”
Rebecca has lived in 5 states, 2 countries, and, as a former opera singer, has traveled throughout the world. She still considers the Main Line her “stomping grounds”. “I grew up playing tennis all over this area and teaching at the Upper Main Line YMCA and other clubs. Even as a teenager, I had a passion for architecture and would drive these streets admiring the beautiful houses; still one of my favorite pastimes (and I still play competitive tennis, too) . I know the area very well so it was the logical place in which to root my real estate practice. However, I lived in Philadelphia for 15 years, so I also have a grip on what’s going on in town. This area is one of the most dynamic in the country and I love the daily possibility of learning more about it while striving for excellence in helping people achieve their dreams. What a great job I have! I love it!”
