A Brief History

Easttown Township is over 300 years old, with the official mention of its name first appearing in official records in 1704. The area once belonged to the Welsh Tract, a parcel of land promised to Welsh Quaker settlers by Pennsylvania founder William Penn. The fertility of the land attracted other European settlers, including the Dutch, English, French, Scots, Swedish, and Swiss.
